In today's post I will talk about everything you need to know from wearing an essential oil to how to actually write your math exam when you have ADHD. These methods have not only helped me take my ADHD under control while I was working on my degree in Physics, they have proven to help all of my students at Helix Academy to transform their grades. If you don't feel like reading this, you can always watch my YouTube video on it!
Let's dive right in!
Do you ever feel like you could get distracted easily when you are writing a math exam? The smallest thing could distract you. Somebody would cough and you would lose complete track of time?
Communicate with your teacher/professor ahead of time

It is VERY important to communicate this with your teachers or professors ahead of time, Maybe provide them with a note from your doctor if it’s necessary. Ask them to have you sit in a private room and perhaps allow more time for you to complete your exam.
Don’t ever be shy to do this. I always thought I would sound "less smart" if I asked for help when I was in university and maybe they would think I am trying to abuse their system. But the chances are your teacher is very well educated about ADHD and will be more than happy to help you.
People with ADHD are creators, great business owners and amazing artists but memorizing a bunch of formulas isn’t our STRONGEST suite! But let that not be an excuse! Albert Einstein, John F kennedy, Will Smith and Walt Disney all had ADHD and that never stopped them from achieving any of their goals!
Supercharge Your Memory in 3 Easy Steps

1. Make a Cheat Sheet (equation sheet)
Write down ALL of your equations so you can refer to them later. If you want to know how to study for Math with ADHD make sure you check out my previous video/post.
2. Essential Oil

Wear a essential oil on your wrist while you are studying and the same oil while you are writing your exam. I am sure you have experienced this and researches have shown that smells brings back memories very fast.

3. Focus Music
Most people with ADHD prefer to study in silence and I get that! I decided to be open minded and recently gave focus music a try. I play it at a very low volume and it has done wonders for my focus! They play at 60-70 beats per minute and they've been are super helpful. Try it and let me know in the comments if this worked for you!
